Admission to secondary school "Lithuanian home” in Vilnius

The Secondary School "Lithuanian Home" in Vilnius accepts: children coming from abroad of Lithuanian descent; children of Lithuanian descent and exile of political prisoners; children whose brothers or sisters already study here; children of former students or employees'.

In to the remaining places the school adopts children from Vilnius municipality.

Conditions:

  • Children in first class shall be seven years old or when the child reaches the age of seven years before the current December 31. Otherwise, the child must be carried out in accordance with the maturity of the assessment of the child to learn according to pre-school and primary education programs, assessment procedures, description, approved by the Lithuanian Minister of Education in 2005 29 October Order No. ISAK-2173;
  • Pupils are accepted into other classes at the age of 7 – 17. Those who do not know the Lithuanian language are accepted to balancing class where they learn only Lithuanian for one year;
  • Coming from a foreign countries education is organized according to the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Education and the General Education program;
  • Who come from abroad and do not have learning outcomes or educational documents, their achievements are evaluated by the approved commission.


Required documents:

  • parents (guardians, foster) application (form);
  • Evidence of prior rights (if the subject matter of priority criteria);
  • the child's birth certificate and a copy of the original;
  • the child's health certificate form;
  • foreign passport and / or a temporary / permanent residence in the Republic of Lithuania;
  • notarized parental consent for learning, living, medical care and representation of the child in Lithuania if the pupils' parents do not live in Vilnius.
