Ambassador D.Vitkauskas presented copies of letters of credence to Georgia's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs

On August 14 ambassador Darius Vitkauskas handed over copies of letters of credence to Georgia's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Teimuraz Janjalia. During the conversation, the bilateral relations between Lithuania and Georgia, the context of Georgia's relations with the European Union were discussed. The Ambassador noted that historically, Georgia is a close and important country for Lithuania, Lithuania cares about Georgians, its society's aspirations to connect the country's future with the EU and NATO, it was also emphasized that Lithuania consistently advocates a policy based on values of freedom and democracy, respect for human rights.
