Ambassador J.Paslauskas gave a lecture on NATO relations with key international organizations

Today H.E. Jonas Paslauskas, Ambassador of Lithuania to Georgia, met with participants of training, provided by the NATO-Georgia Professional Development Program, and gave them a lecture on NATO relations with key international organizations: European Union, United Nations and OSCE.   During the discussion participants of the training program enquired about joint NATO-EU activities in the field of terrorism prevention, operation against the piracy off-coast of Somalia, activities and projects of the EU in occupied territories of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

This training program started in February, and is dedicated for the representatives of Georgian government agencies, who are working in the area of international as well as public relations. It aims to increase the administrative capacities of these institutions.

Training is organized in the training center of NATO-Georgia professional development programme (PDP) and will continue until May. In the beginning of March ambassador J.Paslauskas will meet with participants of the training again and will give a lecture on NATO-Georgia relations. 

Embassy of Lithuania to Georgia has been implementing the functions of NATO Contact Point Embassy (CPE) from the beginning of last year.
