Ambassador met the Minister of Economy of Georgia
On May 3 Ambassador Andrius Kalindra met with Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
According to the ambassador, the bilateral trade is balanced and growing steadily, but its turnover does not reflect the current close political dialogue and the opportunities for further development. The Embassy notes the growing interest of Lithuanian business in Georgia, as well as investment opportunities in the country. The visit of the Lithuanian Deputy Minister of Economics and Innovation on the occasion of the completion of one of the successfully finalized investment projects in Tbilisi, as well as the events of the OECD Eurasia Week in Georgia could be an additional opportunity to discuss new practical and tangible cooperation initiatives and ideas.
During the meeting, Ambassador presented to the Minister the Lithuanian candidate for the post of Deputy Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union Mr. Tomas Lamanauskas and newest Lithuanian business initiatives in Georgia, and other issues related to economic co-operation were discussed.
