Ambassador met with the Governor of Samtskhe-Javakheti Region
On August 27, 2021, the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Georgia, Andrius Kalindra, met with the Governor of the Samtskhe-Javakheti Region, Mr. Beso Amiranashvili. The meeting was held in Akhaltsikhe, at the Governor's Office.
The Ambassador and the Governor discussed the issues of Lithuanian-Georgian cooperation and close friendship. The successful cooperation between the two countries in the field of national minorities was emphasized, within the framework of which a Lithuanian delegation visited Georgia in May 2021.
The conversation also touched upon issues of cultural cooperation between the Embassy and the Samtskhe-Javakheti region. Governor expressed his readiness to support the Embassy's cultural initiatives, while Mr. Ambassador thanked the Governor for his support in the past.
Ambassador Andrius Kalindra and the Governor also spoke about cooperation and support in terms of the Covid 19 pandemic and stressed the central importance of the vaccination process in the successful management of the pandemic and its completion.
