Amendments to the Law related to the issuance of national visas enter into force on July 1

Considering the July 1, 2023 amendments to the law of the Republic of Lithuania on the legal status of foreigners, we inform you that applications for issuing national visas for the purpose of work in the Republic of Lithuania are accepted at the diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Lithuania until June 16, 2023 while applications for issuing national visas for other purposes - until June 30, 2023.
Decisions on whether or not to issue a national visa are made and national visas are issued at the institutions where the applications were submitted.
From July 1, 2023 applications for national visas will be submitted only through an external service provider selected by the Department of Migration under the Ministry of the Interior.
