An Exhibition Dedicated to Lithuania Independence Day Opens in Khashuri

An exhibition "The Road to Freedom" has opened in Khashuri Regional Museum this Monday. The exhibition is dedicated to February 16th – Lithuanian Independence Day.The exhibition showcases Lithuania’s fight for freedom from the first soviet occupation in 1940 till the restoration of independence in 1990.

"Lithuania’s road to freedom was long and difficult, but the nation’s unity and resolve helped to overcome even the largest obstacles. The lesson of unity today bears the most significant value," Lithuanian Ambassador to Georgia Jonas Paslauskas said at the opening ceremony.

The exhibition will run in Khashuri throughout the week till February 21st.
