Concert in Batumi on the occasion of the International Children Day

On the 1st of June, Batumi concert hall hosted a concert of young piano players from Lithuania and Georgia. Ms. Milda Daunoraite (10 years old), Mr. Kasparas Mikuzis (11 years old) and Ms. Morta Gragaliunaite (20 years old) were representing Lithuania.

The participants were greeted by the patron of the concert H.E. Mr. Mikheil Saakashvili, President of Georgia, and H.E. Valdas Adamkus, President of Lithuania. Both Presidents noted that Lithuania and Georgia have been united by creative young people, who were striving for knowledge and development.

The concert will be broadcasted in July on the most prestigious channel of classical music “Mezzo”, which is available in 44 countries and has the audience of 20 million viewers. It was the initiative of the organizer of the concert Mr. Michel Sogny, Honorary consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Switzerland and the President of SOS Talents Foundation. This is not the first time when young piano players appear on “Mezzo” channel with a support of SOS Talents Foundation.

"Once again we can remember tonight that people and nations can be united by music despite their cultural differences. It is indeed a universal language and a bridge for the whole world" –said Mr. Michel Sogny for the participants of the event.

The program of the concert included not only widely known compositions, but also works by Lithuanian composers ("A little rapsody" by B.Dvarionas, "Sun" by V. Barkauskas).
