DOUBLE EXPOSURES - photography exhibition

Austeja Tavoraite is a young Lithuanian photographer. She participates in different international shows and art projects, such as:Personal Exhibition in art platform Kult Flux (Vilnius, 2011); International Festival “IN FOCUS 2011” (Vilnius, 2011); International Photography festival “FOTOX 1000” (Rome, 2010, 2011), etc. “Double Exposures” follows on from the success of the Austeja’s Pin Hole Camera workshop at the Center of Contemporary Art – Tbilisi.
The exhibition will showcase 23 color and b/w photos, made using multiple exposure on film – her preferred medium. Austeja’s prefers the use of film to digital photography, favouring results it produces and the techniques it allows her to utilize. In combining the textures, colors and shapes from each image, she is able to create complex and vivid new realities. The exhibition opens on Wednesday, February 15, 7:00PM, at Caucasian House.
