In his opening speech ambassador Jonas Paslauskas noted that Georgia’s efforts were highly appreciated at NATO Summit in Chicago, and stressed that Georgia needed to remain determined to proceed with domestic reforms.

"Chicago language was very clear - Georgia should demonstrate its commitments to consolidate its free marked democracy. After this Summit, it is crucially important to remain persistent on reforms and integration efforts. Upcoming elections to the Parliament this fall and the Presidential election next year will be extremely important in this regard" – said ambassador J. Paslauskas.
