Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Georgia (further – Embassy) informs on the beginning of the procedure of simplified open tender on buying-up of the official use car for the Embassy - new, produced no later than 2007, sport utility vehicle, for safe and representative Ambassador‘s use.

Tender is being conducted according to the Law on Public Procurement of the Republic of Lithuania.

Official announcement is published in a newspaper “Informaciniai pranešimai” from 16 March, 2007, Nr.21 as purchase Nr. 49910.

Main qualification requirements for supplier: have no valid or effective criminal record; be registered in a manner prescribed by the law; the supplier must not be wound up as a company or suspended in its activities, must not be subject to judicial or extrajudicial bankruptcy procedure; have no liabilities related to social security contributions; have no liabilities related to tax payments, must prove the selling of at least two cars with the price of each higher than 130’000.00LTL.

Interested persons can provide proposals (in Lithuanian, English or Russian) not later than 14:00, 04 April, 2007, in sealed envelopes to the reception of the Embassy.

Tenderer must present proposal’s warranty, issued by bank or insurance company, with the amount of not less than 2’000.00LTL (or equivalent in other currency).

Technical proposals opening session of the Tender Commission will start at 14:00, 04 April, 2007 at the Embassy address. The date of the following opening of financial proposals will be announced then.

Warranty required: at least 2 years from delivery, irrespective of distance driven and at least 60 thousand km irrespective of time from delivery.

The required term of delivery – 90 days after signing the contract.

The winner will be selected based on the following criteria: price, security, cost of ownership, representative looks.

The winner will have to provide contract’s warranty, issued by bank or insurance company.
