International ophthalmology conference on 19th November in Tbilisi

An international ophthalmology conference will open on the 19th November (Saturday) at 10:00 in Tbilisi Marriott Hotel (Rustaveli Ave. 13). It will be attended by the doctors from Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

Mr. Andria Urushadze, Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, will address the participants together with H.E. Jonas Paslauskas, Ambassador of Lithuania to Georgia, and H.E. Masayoshi Kamohara, Ambassador of Japan to Georgia.

 

This project was initiated by Lithuanian doctors from Vilnius University Hospital Santariškiu Klinikos and financed by the government of Japan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania from the Lithuanian Development cooperation program.

 

Modern eye surgery equipment was provided by the Government of Japan, while the eye disease specialists from Lithuania will provide training for the doctors.
