Lithuanian ambassador to Georgia was elected the best Georgian speaking ambassador

Georgian Journal – a weekly English-language edition – organized an event for Diplomatic corps in Georgia and awarded ambassadors in five categories. The Lithuanian ambassador Jonas Paslauskas received the prize for being most adept at speaking Georgian.

 

The Italian Envoy Federica Favi was awarded for being the best respondent for media. The Most Communicative Ambassador award went to Elita Gavele (Latvia) and Carlos Alberto Asfora (Brazil). The Hungarian Diplomat Sándor Szabó was named Most Athletic Ambassador, while United States Envoy Richard Norland received the award for his environmental awareness.

“I am very proud to receive this award, I think it is very important to speak to people their language”, - said Lithuanian ambassador J. Paslauskas.
