Lithuanian culture festival "Window to Lithuania" was held in Tbilisi

On 10-12 May 2023 the Lithuanian culture festival "Window to Lithuania" was held in Tbilisi.

During the festival, the Georgian public had the opportunity to get to know Lithuanian filmmakers and their works better. During the event, Jonas Mekas’ films were presented, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the artist's birth. The audience also had the opportunity to see the 4-part film from 2022, "Broken Piano and Other Stories" created by directors Bernardas Andriušis, Arturas Jevdokimovas and Jeffrey Perkins. In commemoration of the 700th birthday of the city of Vilnius, a special movie screening was held, during which the films "Time passes by" and "Here was Vilnius" were shown, and the photo exhibition "Living in Tbilisi" was presented. The Lithuanian Language and Culture Center hosted the interactive educational program "Ancient Lithuanian Instruments" by composer multi-instrumentalist Saulius Petreikis, during which the audience was introduced to the unique musical heritage of Lithuania. Visitors to Mziuri Park also had the opportunity to listen to Saulius Petreikis' World Orchestra's concert in Jurese together with Georgian string quartet "Just Quartet".

This is already the second Lithuanian culture festival held in Tbilisi. The first "Window to Lithuania" festival was held in 2021.
