Lithuanian Exports to Georgia Double in 2010

Lithuanian exports to Georgia have doubled last year and reached an all time high, the statistical data published today by Statistics Lithuania has revealed.Lithuanian export of goods to Georgia increased by 91.5 percent in 2010, amounting to LTL62.8 million (EUR18.2 million).

Exports of revenue stamps and labels topped the list with the total value of LTL11.8 million, followed by automatic data processing machines (LTL6.3 million), monitors and projectors (LTL4.9 million), milk and cream products (LTL4.5 million).

Overall, export in 14 categories was larger than LTL1 million. The detailed breakdown of the Lithuanian exports to Georgia is available here.

Meanwhile, Lithuanian imports from Georgia last year rose by one fifth and amounted to LTL23.4 million. This is also the largest number in 20 years.

According to the export-import ratio, Lithuania’s trade with Georgia is one of the most balanced throughout the entire post-Soviet space.

 

The Lithuanian national currency litas is pegged to the euro at the rate of 3.4528 to 1.
