Lithuanian Standards Board launched an EU-funded twinning project in Georgia together with Germans

Today Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing of Germany (BAM), Federal Physical Technical Service of Germany (PTB) and Lithuanian Standards Board (LST) launched an EU-funded twinning project "Strengthening of the metrology and standardization infrastructure according to the best practice in the European Union".

 

This is the first EU Twinning Project, won by Lithuanian Standards Board. The launching event takes place on 2-4 November in Tbilisi with participation of director of Mr. Brunonas Šičkus, director of Lithuanian Standards Board, representatives of German institutions and Georgian National Agency for Standards, Technical Regulations and Metrology (GEOSTM).


Mr. Irakli Matkava, deputy minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, and Mr. Boris Iarochevitch, deputy head of EU delegation to Georgia, participated with the project implementors in a press conference on 2nd November.


Georgian public was introduced with the activities of the project and its specific purposes.
