Lithuanian traces in Batumi

A joint work of Lithuanian and Georgian artists, called "Dream Tower. Labyrinth”, was presented to the residents and guests of Batumi in the new boulevard on Friday.

"This sculpture is a beautiful symbol of friendship between Georgia and Lithuania. A very simple idea grew into a truly large-scale joint project. I am pleased that this idea was supported by the office of Mayor of Batumi. I hope this will not be the last joint project between Lithuania and Municipality of Batumi." - said Jonas Paslauskas, Ambassador of Lithuania to Georgia during the opening ceremony.

Approximately 2,100 euros were dedicated for this project from Lithuania’s development cooperation and assistance to the democracy program. Municipality of Batumi contributed the same amount to the project.

„This installation was created individually for this space. It is dedicated for all dreamers, who are visiting Batumi. In order to reach “Column of dreams”, one must solve the puzzle of labyrinth, and later – to think of your own dream, put your hand on the column and look into the sea.  Your dream will definitely come true“, - hoped Mr. Irakli Tsuladze, author of an idea and sculpture of the installation.

Sculptor Irakli Tsuladze and Mr. Marius Abramavičius have been working together since 2003. Together they have implemented non-traditional projects both in Lithuania and in Georgia.
