Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania will pay a working visit to Georgia
Mr. Audronius Ažubalis, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, will pay a working visit to Georgia on 13-15 September. Mr. Ažubalis will meet with Mr. Grigol Vashadze, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, and, upon his invitation, will give a speach in the annual meeting of Heads of Missions of Georgia a report as the guest of honor.
During the visit it is planned to evaluate the Lithuania's development cooperation projects in Georgia. Minister of Foreign Affairs will visit ambulatory of “Caritas Georgia” - Lithuania has helped to obtain ECG's to the primary health centers in Samtskhe-Javakheti region. Mr. Ažubalis also plans to meet with the partipants of women's entrepreneurship development project, which has been implemented for two years by the International School of Business (Vilnius University) in cooperation with the Caucasus University.
Lithuania has been implementing development cooperation and assistance to the democracy projects in the South Caucasus region since 2003. In 2011 these projects are aimed to support the regional development of Georgia, to assist the victims of war, to promote the social activity of women and in the environmental protection area.
