New compulsory medical insurance requirements for tourists entering Georgia

In accordance with the Law of Georgia “On Tourism”, starting from 1 January 2026, all tourists entering Georgia are required to hold a valid health and accident insurance policy.
The insurance policy may be issued by either a Georgian or a foreign insurance company, and the insurance coverage amount must be no less than 30,000 GEL.
The insurance policy must be presented in either physical or electronic form and must be available in Georgian or English.
The insurance policy must contain the following mandatory information:
