Newsweek: Lithuania 34th Best Country in the World

Lithuania is the 34th best country in the world, a Newsweek survey has revealed. Based on five selected indicators: health, economic dynamism, education, political environment, and quality of life, Finland was chosen as the best place to live, followed by Switzerland, Sweden, Australia, and Luxembourg.

The neighboring Poland was ranked 29th, while Estonia – 32nd and Latvia – 36th. Russia was ranked 51st and Belarus 56th.

Lithuania received high scores in such areas as political environment (26th place) and education (28th place). However, evaluation of the country’s health care system has placed Lithuania at only 61st place.

Among 100 nations evaluated, Burkina Faso, Nigeria and Cameroon were pronounced the worst places in the world.
