The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Georgia informs that starting from 21 December 2007, individuals who possess valid Schengen visa or residence permit issued by the EU or Schengen member state, do not need visa to travel to Lithuania.
A passport control at the airports will remain until 30 March 2008.
Visas issued before Lithuania joined the Schengen group (i.e. before 21 December 2007) will remain valid until the expiration of their validity. Those visas will be valid for the Republic of Lithuania only.
