President Grybauskaitė Extends Condolences to President Saakashvili on Death of Four Georgian Soldiers in Afghanistan

President Dalia Grybauskaitė has extended her condolences to President Mikheil Saakashvili of Georgia for the loss of four Georgian servicemen who were killed in Helmand Province of Afghanistan on Thursday.   "Georgia's commitment to assume responsibility and contribute to establishing security and stability in Afghanistan is a significant input to the efforts of the international community to rebuild the country. At the same time, it demonstrates Georgia's devotion to the values of peace and humanity, highly respected by NATO and its member states.


Thank you once again for your country's contribution to the joint efforts of the trans-Atlantic community. Please convey my condolences to the bereaved families. I wish them fortitude and extend my deep respect," Dalia Grybauskaitė wrote in her message of condolences.
