President Dalia Grybauskaitė of Lithuania will visit Georgia on May 3-4.
During the visit, the president will meet with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, lay a wreath at the Memorial of Heroes, and visit Iashvili Central Children's Hospital, where Lithuania together with the Government of Japan is implementing a trilateral development cooperation project.
This visit to Georgia is part of a larger South Caucaus trip, during which President Grybauskaitė, as Head of the State now chairing the OSCE, will also visit Armenia and Azerbaijan. During her meetings with the leaders of the South Caucasus states, she will encourage them to address the protracted conflicts through dialogue and peace, as well as discuss bilateral relations and cooperation of the South Caucasus countries with the European Union.
