Statistics of trade between Lithuania and Georgia during 2nd quarter 2011

During 1st quarter 2011 the turnover of the trade between Lithuania and Georgia reached 33 million litas (about 9.6 million EUR). During the 2nd quarter 2011 the turnover of the trade amounted to 23.4 million litas (about 6.8 million EUR), according to the published statistical data of the Department of Statistics of Lithuania.

Lithuanian export to Georgia during the 2nd quarter 2011 amounted to almost 14 million litas (over 4 million EUR). Lithuania exported machinery and mechanical appliances (1.3 million EUR), electrical machinery and equipment (0.7 million EUR), pharmacy products (0.5 million EUR), ground vehicles (0.3 million EUR).


Imports of goods and services from Georgia to Lithuania amounted to 9.5 million litas (about 2.7 million EUR) during that same period, mostly non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks (1.6 million EUR), aluminum products (0.4 million EUR), nuts and citrus fruits (0.3 million EUR).


According to the data from the Department of Statistics of Georgia, Lithuania was a 18th exports market in the world for Georgia and the 5th export market between the European Union states (after Bulgaria, France, Italy and German).


According to the data from the Department of Statistics of Lithuania, Georgia ranked 47th between the most important export partners for Lithuania.
