THE EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA IN GEORGIA ANNOUNCES COMPETITION FOR THE POSITION OF A DRIVER

The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Georgia announces competition for the position of a driver.

Requirements:

  1. have a secondary education and/or an acquired professional qualification;
  2. know Georgian language at an advanced user lever C2 level, English or Lithuanian or Russian – at an advanced user lever C1;
  3. have a driving license that gives the right to officially drive embassy’s vehicles;
  4. have vehicle operation skills, know it’s work principles and structure;
  5. take care of Embassy's vehicles’ insurance issues.
  6. know the rules of the use of an official passenger vehicle of the Embassy/Ministry;
  7. know and properly choose local and long-distance routes to be able to independently plan and perform given work;
  8. do not raise doubts about the person's reliability.

Main responsibilities of the driver(s):

  1. drives official vehicle(s);
  2. transports embassy employees, delegations, embassy’s guests to and from working meetings, events;
  3. supervises the technical condition, interior and exterior cleanliness of the official vehicle(s);
  4. takes care of the technical service of the vehicle(s), organizes its/their repair if necessary;
  5. takes care of the insurance of an official vehicle(s);
  6. fills out the documents related to the vehicle(s) driving in a timely and responsible manner, manages fuel and other consumables and mileage records of the vehicle(s);
  7. delivers mail, invitations and documents to various institutions and organizations, etc. and accordingly brings them to the embassy;
  8. loads and unloads vehicle(s) when necessary, transports goods to and from the embassy;
  9. contributes to the organization of embassy events and receptions;
  10. carries out other non-permanent official assignments of the head of the embassy.

Experience as a driver is an advantage.

A fixed-term employment contract will be concluded with the employee. Official salary from 1053 euros (before taxes).

Applicants who meet the requirements for the position and wish to participate in the competition, must submit a CV in Lithuanian, English or Russian languages and a free-form motivation letter until October 15, 2024, 5:00 p.m. (Tbilisi time) by e-mail amb.ge@urm.lt. Interviews with the selected candidates are planned for 2024, October 16 in the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Georgia
